A vibrant afternoon of music brought together an incredible lineup, featuring Dropkick Murphys, Wild Colonial Bhoys, DJ Jacques, Kiss the Tiger, Sophie Hiroko, Chutes, Laamar, Obi Original, and The Shackletons. Local organisations, including Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Show Up for Eat Street, Immigrant Law Center, and South Minneapolis Families Fund, came together to foster a sense of community and support.
Dropkick Murphys, Ken Casey, had this to share ahead of the much anticipated performance: “We are so proud of how Minnesota stood up and met this moment and we are so sad for the community and for the Pretti and Good families for what they’ve gone through, so it is an honor to come down and be able to play some music for the people and let them know we stand in solidarity with them.”
Director of local organization, Whittier Alliance, said: “We were thrilled to have created a space for the community to unite and celebrate Alex and Renée, showcasing the collective strength, resilience, and vibrant spirit that defines our neighborhood.”
This special event was streamed globally via AbolishICE.live, produced by Valor Media and the Save America Movement, with Meidas Touch also broadcasting, demonstrating the power of collective action. While entry was free, fundraising links tied to the concert empowered supporters to drive positive change by backing rent relief, small businesses on Eat Street, immigrant legal services, and families across South Minneapolis.
