USPA NEWS - State Secretaries Brune Poirson and Sibeth Ndiaye make a joint trip on Tuesday. The French (individuals and businesses) produce nearly 50 million tons of biowaste per year, which represents 30% of their trash. While the recovery of bio-waste can create heat and electricity thanks to biogas from methanisation but also compost, their collection is a priority. Thus, in anticipation of the forthcoming presentation of the anti-spinning bill for a circular economy in the Council of Ministers, Sibeth Ndiaye and Brune Poirson go to the canteen of the Victor Hugo school in Tremblay which has set up a separate collection of its bio-waste with the Moulinot company. The two secretaries of state will exchange with students on their sorting gestures. The trip will continue to the social and solidarity company Moulinot for a visit of their factory. This company specializes in the management of food waste through the manufacture of compost, vermicompost and energy.
